Joella’s Hot Chicken to open third southern Indiana location

Joella’s Hot Chicken, a Louisville-based fast-casual restaurant featuring Nashville-style hot chicken and made-from-scratch sides, will open its third Indiana location in January.

The new restaurant will open in Bloomington on Jan. 24, in the former Scholar’s Inn Bakehouse space.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Joella’s is giving away one-year supply of free Joella’s Hot Chicken, which will be given in 52 coupons, to the first 100 adults, age 18 years and older with identification. The line can begin forming up to 24 hours before to the restaurant’s opening, with prizes given away on Jan. 24 at 8:00 a.m. Guests waiting in line will be treated to complimentary Chicken and Waffles, coffee, Joella’s swag, and games.

The restaurant is also holding hiring fairs through Jan. 5 to fill up to 50 full and part-time positions, including managers, cooks, cashiers, guest ambassadors, dining room attendants, and dishwashers. New employees can earn up to $13.00 an hour with advancement opportunities and food and beverage discounts. Interviews will be conducted on-site, and applicants will need to bring a valid ID and an enthusiastic attitude to apply.

Hiring fairs are being held at The Graduate Hotel, 210 E. Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, Ind. on the following dates:
Dec. 27-30 from Noon – 6:00 p.m.
Jan. 2-5 from Noon – 6:00 p.m.

This is the eighth location to open for the popular dining chain. The new location is 4,091 square feet and seats 168 people, which includes the outdoor patio that will open in warmer months. It will also be the first Joella’s location to feature a convenient drive-thru for customers.
