Roberts Family Farm offers fun, family friendly getaway for the evening

Need something to do this fall? Look no further than Guston, Kentucky.

Located in the quaint farming town is a place called Roberts Family Farm; a place where folks near and far gather for an evening of family fun.

To celebrate the opening of the season, Roberts Family Farm is hosting a Great Pumpkin Pursuit on Saturday, September 15. There will be as many as 35 giant watermelons, 30 giant pumpkins, and several other giant fruits and vegetables, from growers from Ohio, Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi, Georgia, Indiana, and other states. The heaviest pumpkin and watermelon will receive a cash prize of $1,000. All the pumpkins, watermelons and gourds will be brought in on pallets and loaded onto the scale with a backhoe. Gates at the Great Pumpkin Pursuit open at 10 a.m. The official weigh off will be held at noon.

Each year, the corn maze is sponsored by a different organization.
