I live a really busy and dynamic lifestyle - whether it's traveling and directing music videos for independent artists, or creating new marketing campaigns for WAVE 3. Every now and then, I like to spend a night out in the city with great company. Here are my FAVE 3 date spots in Louisville.
Saporro Grill and Sushi
This place is amazing. When I visit Sapporo, I typically get a Lemon Drop or Pomegranate Martini, Gyoza and chicken broth for appetizers, and a house special sushi roll called the “No Name Roll”. I won’t disclose what ingredients are inside this roll, but it’s served literally on fire, and it will be sure to impress your date’s taste buds.
Sapporo is a great way to introduce them to delectable Japanese cuisine. The overall ambiance is laid back and comfortable with an uptown, urban feel.
21c Museum Hotel
I personally don’t know any other museum in Louisville that is as intriguing and cool as 21c. It’s within walking distance of 4th Street Live, Kentucky Center for the Arts, Kentucky Science Center and The Louisville Slugger Museum.
This bi-level museum features tons of contemporary, modern artwork from a gambit of talented artists you’ve likely never heard of before. This place is a great way to slow things down and spark some interesting conversation with your date. And, there’s a high chance they’ve probably never visited 21c before, which gives you extra cool points.
TIP: If you don’t mind driving a bit farther, the 21c museum in Cincinnati is also a really impressive exhibit.
Vis A Vis & Nirvana
Both of these spots are equally great for listening to music, trying hookah or enjoying a variety of drink specials with your date.
My style is very laid back, so I enjoy having a nice, safe spot to visit and blend into the crowd when I want to step out and see what’s going on.
You’re guaranteed to catch a vibe and have a great time with DJ Z-Nyce at Vis A Vis for Wine Down Wednesdays.
