The Celtic Pig expanding into Downtown Louisville spot

A Louisville food truck specializing in Irish and Scottish cuisine is expanding into its own spot downtown.

The Celtic Pig announced on their Facebook page it’s opening a free-standing restaurant at 217 East Main Street.

The restaurant will feature all of the favorites – including fish and chips – in a full-service dining room. In addition, they’re adding a “grab-and-go” style counter with cold sandwiches, salads and a full carry-out menu on the first floor.

A cozy bar will be in the basement, according to the restaurant.

Patrons can also expect to find BBQ and liquor, wine and beer on the menu.

The dining room is set to open in early March, according to the restaurant, with the bar opening soon after. The official grand opening, set to include live music and family activities, is scheduled for April 20.

But don’t fear food truck fans – the restaurant assures the truck will remain open.
