Big Bad Breakfast opens in former Lynn’s Paradise Cafe building

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (DERBY CITY WEEKEND) - A new brunch spot is now open in the former location of Lynn’s Paradise Cafe in the Highlands.

Big Bad Breakfast, located at 984 Barrett Avenue, opened on Feb. 8 as a collaboration between founder and CEO of Endeavor Restaurant Group, Steve Ritchie, and James Beard award-winning chef John Currence.

The team created a restaurant which focuses on local and regional ingredients to create popular breakfast and lunch items. Several menu highlights include a Big Bad Hot Brown, a brandy-spiked and deep fried french toast, and huevos rancheros with Weisenberger grits.

The restaurant will also offer lunch and specialty cocktails like a breakfast margarita or Kentucky coffee.

“Louisville has been a ‘circle’ city on our expansion board for quite a while,” Currence said in a release. “I’ve never spent as much time here as I wanted for simple geographic reasons. To finally have the reason to jump into such a burgeoning food scene with an incredible partner group could not be any more exciting. Then to get to do it in a location with as storied a past as Lynn’s Paradise Café, well, we are just lucky. I can’t wait to get open and to get to know our little neighborhood!”

Big Bad Breakfast will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For more information and a complete menu, visit BBB’s website.
