KDF releases 2022 Thunder Air Show lineup

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (DERBY CITY WEEKEND) - With the return of Thunder Over Louisville on April 23, Kentucky Derby Festival has officially released the lineup for the 2022 Air Show.

This year’s air show marks a full return for Thunder Over Louisville, after a show that took place in remote locations due to the pandemic in 2021.

The show will feature a salute to the 75th Anniversary of the United States Air Force and will feature both military and civilian aircraft, the Kentucky Derby Festival announced in a release.

Thunder over Louisville, themed “The Legend Returns,” is set to begin at 10 a.m. with The Planes of Thunder Static Display at 10 a.m., followed by the Air Show and fireworks later in the evening.
