‘Cars in the Commons’ exotic car show returns to Norton Commons

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (DERBY CITY WEEKEND) - Norton Commons is allowing guests to get up close and personal with some high horsepower for a good cause.

The second annual Cars in the Commons event will take place on June 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Village Town Square, located at 6320 Rosebay Street.

The event will feature a number of German, American muscle, vintage and classic cars, in addition to Euro Tuning and race cars, officials with Norton Commons said.

Norton Commons will also be showcasing each generation of the Porsche 911 as part of an exhibit, showing off cars going back to the 1960s.

“We were elated with how things went last year, terrific crowd and terrific location,” Eric Benson of RCR Events and RCR Car Club, said in a release. “Word has really gotten out around the region, and we have been flooded with entries.  We are hand-selecting the finest and rarest cars and we will have double the number of cars as we did last year.”

Cars in the Commons concludes with a Porsche Parade at 3 p.m.

Proceeds from the car show will go to Norton Children’s Hospital, and guests are asked to bring bottled water for a donation drive benefiting Louisville Outreach for the Unsheltered.
