CatVideoFest brings online cat videos to the big screen

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (DERBY CITY WEEKEND) - The Speed Art Museum’s Speed Cinema is hosting a weekend of feline fun as CatVideoFest comes to Louisville.

The three-night event starting July 8 will be showcasing online cat videos on the big screen, making a mostly solo experience into a community event, the release states.

CatVideoFest displays the finest feline videos, from early YouTube classics to the latest TikTok trends, including unique cat video submissions.

The event, coordinated by the Social Purpose Corporation, hosts screenings in dozens of cities bringing thousands of cat fans together benefiting a good cause.

Louisville’s event will donate 10% of ticket sales to local nonprofits Alley Cats and the Kentucky Humane Society.

CatVideoFest showings are scheduled on Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale for $12, or $8 for Speed Art Museum members.
