Louisville Beer Week returns this October for fifth anniversary

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - For the fifth year, Louisville Beer Week returns to showcase the many local breweries within the city.

Louisville Beer Week will run from Oct. 21 through Oct. 30, starting with an inaugural kick-off event at the German American Club on Oct. 21 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This year’s event will feature beer collaborations, panel discussions, and multiple events that will showcase Louisville’s historic and growing beer community, according to a release.

“For the last five years we’ve been asked to host a beer festival during Louisville Beer Week,” Louisville Beer Week organizers said in a release. “Our 5th anniversary seems like a good time to do it. We’re thankful that we’re able to host it with our friends at The German-American Club. We’re also hosting a couple of great panels that feature some friends in the spirits industry in addition to partnering with the Pink Boots Society to put on our annual Women in Beer Panel.”

Two headlining events include the “From Stave to Glass Barrel Panel” at Bourbon’s Bistro on Frankfort Ave. on Oct. 25, and the Women in Beer Panel on Oct. 27 at Logan Street Market.

Ticket prices for each event varies.

Some of the participating local breweries include 3rd Turn Brewing, Against the Grain Brewery, Apocalypse Brew Works, Butchertown Brewing, Goodwood Brewing, Mile Wide Beer Co. and many more.
