First shipment of 2024 Pegasus Pins arrive

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - This year’s Pegasus Pins are now on sale! A celebration to launch the 2024 pins is being held Friday morning at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience on Main Street. The pins are on sale there now through March 1.

Festival officials also hand-dipped some special edition bottles in wax, sealing some Gold Pins inside. It’s to commemorate the 52nd edition of the pins and the 69th Kentucky Derby Festival.

”We invite this town to help us as we honor and nod to the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby,” KDF CEO and President Matt Gibson said. “As we paint and pin the town Derby, and a huge “cheers” to the community at large!”

Starting next Friday, they will launch everywhere, including grocery stores, gas stations, and banks. You can use the pins to get in free to several Kentucky Derby Festival events.
