LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) -Biscuits and gravy lovers rejoice as the annual Gravy Cup returns to the Mellwood Art Center in Louisville for its twelfth year. The competition begins on March 1 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Event officials say more than 30 local professional chefs and home cooks will showcase their best gravy recipes for a panel of professional and celebrity judges and over 800 attendees.

Competitors will be divided into three categories: Traditional (pork sausage roux), Non-Traditional (brown, red-eye, chorizo) and Vegetarian/Vegan.

Attendees will also vote for their favorite recipe, and the winner will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. General admission tickets are $35; children 9-17 - $15; children 10 and under are free.
