Camels, elephants, clowns and high walkers are in Louisville this weekend, all at Broadbent Arena for the 94th Kosair Shrine Circus.
The circus is in town until Sunday, Feb. 10. There are several shows a day: Saturday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
George Cardin Circus International performs the classic three-ring circus.
George is the fifth generation in show business in his family and has worked in the circus business his entire life.
The performers and the circus travel over 40,000 miles 42 weeks a year throughout the United States and Canada.
“For other people it may be far from home or travel every week, it is hard or maybe different but for us, it is part of our life,” high walker Paul Cifuentes said.
Tickets are $20.00, $25.00 and $30.00 depending on the seat location. They can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the box office at Broadbent Arena. Coupons must be redeemed at the box office and cannot be used with online purchases. Children two and younger are free.
