‘A Taste of Corbett’s’ will support chef’s family, legacy

Sixty chefs will cook at an event to support the family of a Louisville culinary icon.
A Taste of Corbett’s was established by members of Louisville’s culinary community to honor late chef and restaurateur Stephen “Dean” Corbett, who died in October.
The tribute, which features more than 50 Louisville chefs preparing some of Chef Corbett’s signature dishes, will benefit Chef Dean’s wife and three sons.
Corbett, known around town as “Deano,” was deeply committed to the Louisville community and raised millions of dollars for charities. He helped start several fundraisers, including Bourbon & Bowties, which benefits Norton Children’s Hospital.
He involved with countless other benefits supporting the American Heart Association, Gilda’s Club, APRON, Inc., Dare to Care, March of Dimes, and charities fighting juvenile diabetes, juvenile autism and multiple sclerosis.
The event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. at The Olmsted on Frankfort Avenue.
There will be live music from Robbie Bartlett, tastings and specialty cocktails, and a live auction and raffle drawings. Kevin Harned and Tim Laird will serve as the emcees.
Tickets go on sale January 17 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased here.
For those who cannot attend, a GoFundMe page has been set up for the Corbett family here.
