Move over Thirsty Thursday – Sunday Funday is here in full force.
Sundays will be the highlight of your weekend with the help of Mint Julep Experiences’ brand-new brunch brigade aptly titled The Boozy Brunch & Bourbon Bonanza.
The name speaks for itself: guests, whether hungry, thirsty or both, indulge in a Southern-style brunch (mimosas and bellinis included) before hitting up two bourbon distillery tours complete with tastings.
“We wanted to create an experience that would be fun for both locals and travelers,” said Mint Julep’s Fun Enthusiast Chasta McIntyre.
Guests meet and depart from the Omni Hotel in Louisville at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday starting March 8 before being whisked away to Simpsonville for brunch at the Old Stone Inn & Tavern. Brunch is led by Churchill Downs’ Chef David Danielson.
The next Sunday Funday stop including bourbon and lots of it. Guests will build their own Bloody Marys, tour and enjoy a bourbon tasting at the Jeptha Creed Distillery in Shelbyville before another tour and tasting at the Bulleit Distilling Co.
“We’ve been offering brunch adventures for custom tours for a while now,” McIntyre said, “so it’s been a blast putting together this ultimate Sunday Fun Day for anyone who wants to explore Kentucky, eat great food and, of course, enjoy some fine bourbon.”
Tickets for The Boozy Brunch & Bourbon Bonanza are $159 a person.
