Bourbon and Beyond, Hometown Rising cancel; Louder Than Life adds an extra day

Louder Than Life 2021
Louder Than Life will take place in 2021, but Danny Wimmer Presents announced less-positive news about another one of its popular music festivals.

Bourbon and Beyond and Hometown Rising are a no-go for 2021, but Louder Than Life has just added a fourth day to the popular rock festival.

“We regret to inform you that we will be taking 2021 off,” Bourbon and Beyond officials announced in an email to fans Wednesday. “With all the uncertainty in 2021, as a company we made the tough decision to focus on our long tenured U.S. festivals, which includes Louder Than Life.”

The back-to-back-to-back weekends of music festivals at Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center left a great impression on Louisville music fans in 2019, but all three legs of the Trifesta were canceled because of COVID-19 last year.

Louder Than Life is scheduled to take place Sept. 23-26.

The event “will be adding a Thursday night celebration event to kick off the weekend,” organizers said in a statement.

All current pass holders will receive admission to the newly added Thursday night kickoff celebration for free.

Performer lineups and ticket information will be released in the spring, but you can visit the Louder Than Life website for FAQs and other details.
