The Kentucky Derby Museum at Louisville’s Churchill Downs brought the heat to guests Tuesday night at a fire and bourbon dinner.
The six-course small plate meal and cocktail tasting was organized by The Old Forester Distilling Co. and Bourbon Barrel Foods.
Each plate paired perfectly with a complimenting bourbon cocktail.
It was an educational event of sorts. As guests dined in the museum, they heard from experts in the bourbon industry.
“Just a fun way to talk about bourbon and good food right before the holidays start,” Old Forester president Campbell Brown said of the event.
The dinner was also a celebration of Old Forester’s 1910 bourbon, which is now back in stock.
