Located at 104 Fairfax Ave. in St. Matthews
In the heart of St. Matthews, tucked away on Fairfax Avenue, sits one of the best Italian restaurants in Louisville.
Bill Melillo opened Silvio’s in 2015.
His focus is to provide a comfortable place for families to enjoy great food and companionship together.
“That’s the quintessential Italian type of establishment,” Milillo said. “When the family sits down and they eat and enjoy their meal and the time together. They’re talking and communicating. You’d be surprised how many people put the phones down when they come in here.”
In 2016, Silvio’s was damaged by the fire that forced Super Chefs and Maria’s Greek Deli to relocate. When Silvio’s reopened, Bill invited all the firefighters who helped save his restaurant for a special meal to show his gratitude.
Silvio’s offers a variety of dishes, including the spicy Seafood Diavolo, Aglio e Olio and an antipasto tray that features meats imported from Italy.
There are also several vegetarian options, such as Eggplant Parmigiano, Pasta Primavera and Cheese Lasagna.
