Forecastle Festival’s Party Cove is a gem.
With a steady stream of some of Louisville’s top DJs, get ready for a dance party led by mermaids who are sure to help you get on board.
The Party Cove is a short walk to the Mast and Ocean Stages, making it a prime location for a stopover any time, any day.
Besides being the most reliable dance party along the waterfront, it’s surrounded by trees, making it a haven for overheated festival-goers looking for shade during the day. And it’s also small enough to serve as a meeting point for friends.
Friday features two sets from dominate female DJs that are worth the trip.
DJ Samosa, on at 3:45, is a great way to kick off your festival experience with a bang.
Right after her set is Pretty Girls Play Trap Music, a duo who live up to their name. They’re also affiliated with The Spinsters Union of Louisville, which promotes women and gender non-conforming folk who enrich the hip hop scene in our city.
The “headliners” of the cove each night: DJ Hi-Def, Sam Sneed and GlitterTitz are well known in Louisville for anchoring some of the best parties in town. Expect them to show up for the Forecastle crowd in a big way.
Don your crop tops, hot shorts and body glitter and don’t miss the Party Cove, y’all. It’s small, it’s shady, but the party is hot.
