Some big names in country music, along with popular local talent, are hitting the stage at Fourth Street for Derby week.
The entertainment center is hosting a four-day music series Wednesday, May 1 through Saturday, May 4.
Admission for the events range from free to $15. VIP packages are also available. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m.
All events are 21 and up.
Wednesday, May 1 – KIRBY
Derby weekend kicks off with Louisville’s own, KIRBY (also known as Kirbys Dreamland). With a playlist covering classic rock favorites from Led Zeppelin and Journey all the way to current country hits from Jason Aldean and Keith Urban, everyone is sure to have a good time! This is a free event.
Thursday, May 2 – Chris Janson w. special guest Dillon Carmichael
Chris Janson is a platinum-selling, high-octane entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer/songwriter, and the youngest living member of the Grand Ole Opry. His sophomore album, Everybody, produced his second No. 1 hit single, “Fix A Drink,” the chart-topping follow-up to his No. 1 debut smash “Buy Me A Boat.” His CMA-nominated song, “Drunk Girl,” won Music Row “Song of the Year” and has been called “the most important song to come out of Nashville in years.” Tickets are $15 in advance.
Friday, May 3 – Budweiser Presents Billy Currington w. special guests Canaan Smith and Everette
In the decade since he made his debut with the top ten hit “Walk a Little Straighter,” Billy Currington has parlayed his rich, emotion-laden tenor and unerring song sense into some of the country format’s most memorable hits, including such No. 1s as “Good Directions,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right” and “People Are Crazy.” Featuring a post-show performance by DJ VICE. Tickets are $10 in advance.
Saturday, May 4 – Derby After-Party feat. DJ Sam Sneed
Close out Derby week and party all night with DJ Sam Sneed at Fourth Street Live!. This is a free event.
