Assumption Greek Orthodox Church is hosting their annual Louisville Greek Fest on June 7 and 8.

Get your Greek on with Greek food, pastries and Greek iced coffee. Not only can you indulge in the food, but there will also be cooking demonstrations.

There will be live traditional Greek music and dancing from kids and adults, along with an Agora marketplace.

Carnival games, face painting, a bouncy house and more will be available for children.

“We have been having it since the early 1980s,” Aliki Zagorianos, marketing chair for the event, said. “It’s the one time of year we can be Greek and invite you guys to be Greek with us, and to share our music, our faith, our food, opa!”

The church is located at 930 Ormsby Ln. and they will offer church cultural tours during the festival.

Saturday, June 8, the event will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and there will be a raffle for four “Hamilton” tickets.

Greek Fest is the church’s largest fundraiser and all of the proceeds benefit the parish to fund upkeep of the church, many ministries and community activities they put on.

Admission and parking are free.
