Highlands Festival: Eat and shop local for a good cause

Shop local. Eat local. Spend local. Enjoy local. That’s the goal of 15th Annual Highlands Festival.

Head over to the 900 block of Baxter Avenue on Saturday, September 7th to enjoy more than 100 local art and craft vendors, local non-for-profits, food from several Highlands restaurants and live music.

Speaking of music, Soul Circus will perform from 3 PM to 7 PM. Wax Factory will perform from 8 PM to 11 PM.

The free, family-friendly festival will also feature The Pet Station Country Club’s Family Fun Zone. Here parents and kids can find life-size bubbles, cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals, glitter tattoos, a bouncy house, an obstacle course, and much more.

The Highlands Festival’s proceeds will benefit The Arrow Fund (TAF). The Arrow Fund is committed to increasing public awareness of animal cruelty by providing veterinary care and support to animal victims of torture, abuse, and neglect and while encouraging vigorous criminal prosecution of abuser.
