Jeptha Creed is celebrating a big milestone today.
Master Distiller Joyce Nethery and her staff filled their one-thousandth bourbon barrel this afternoon.
It’s called Bloody Butcher’s Creed Bourbon and is set to be released this spring.
“I am so proud of what we have accomplished and what this 1000th barrel represents,” Jeptha Creed owner and Master Distiller Joyce Nethery said. “We are a ground-to-glass distillery and have built this distillery from the ground up. Having 1,000 barrels of bourbon aging is a huge milestone for us.”
Jeptha Creed produced the first legal barrel of bourbon in Shelby County since prohibition.
The distillery is located at 500 Gordon Lane in Shelbyville.
