Over Valentine’s Day weekend, the perfect opera for romance and comedy is headed to the Brown Theatre.
“The Marriage of Figaro”, featuring music from Mozart, will be performed by the Kentucky Opera.
The show takes audiences on an adventure of love and deception. Countess Almaviva conspires with the young couple Figaro and Susanna to thwart the Count’s devious intentions to ruin the young couple’s wedding day. Will Susanna and Figaro make it to the altar?
The opera is sung in Italian with projected English captions.
There are just two performances on Feb. 14 at 8 and Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale right now and start at $20.
