Kentucky State Fair will go on in August with changes

The Kentucky State Fair will go on in August despite the coronavirus outbreak, but it will look very different than in years past.

Governor Andy Beshear says he’s approved the plan from the fair board to have fewer activities and vendors.

Most activities will be outdoors this year.

The fair won’t use the part of the Kentucky Exposition Center that is housing a field hospital for a potential coronavirus surge.

The festivities are set to begin Aug. 20.
