A new restaurant is dishing out Latin American cuisine in the Highlands.

La Suerte opened mid-April in the Bardstown Road building formerly occupied by North End Cafe.

North End closed in February after seven years, though the Frankfort Avenue location remains in operation.

Those driving by the familiar spot may notice a new color scheme. The space, previously beige and green, now sports bright orange and blue paint. Those bright colors continue with the interior decor.

La Suerte is open for lunch and dinner during the week, with a menu featuring a variety of seafood, chicken and steak dishes. Breakfast and brunch are served on the weekends.

The restaurant’s hours, according to the Facebook page, are as follows:

  • Monday-Wednesday: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Thursday & Friday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Reservations and carry-out are available.
