Louisville Bats host Military Appreciation Day August 22

The Louisville Bats welcomes all military members and their families for a day of fun, as Military Appreciation Day takes place August 22.

Current and former military members and military families will get in free to the Bats game against the Gwinnett Stripers Sunday at 1 p.m.

A special pre-game ceremony is set to honor Gold Star Families as well as the last living Medal of Honor recipient from World War II, Woody Williams.

The game will also feature a sky diving team consisting of Armed Forces veterans that will deliver the American Flag to the stadium.

Gates open at 12 p.m. Sunday at Louisville Slugger Field.
