A group of Louisville middle school students were given a big surprise Monday, tickets to see the smash hit musical Hamilton.
The surprise came for the Olmsted Academy North Middle School Choir students during a press conference at the Frazier History Museum.
The choir, also called the Ambassadors, were given the tickets after they sang “My Shot”, one of the musical’s many hit songs.
“Hamilton is such a magnificent musical, not just for its entertainment value, but also in the way that it brings history to life,” Leslie Klarer Broecker with Broadway Across America said. “We’re so pleased to have the opportunity to partner with the Frazier Museum, JCPS, Olmsted Academy North, and many others to maintain our mission to serve students in Louisville and the surrounding counties.”
The giveaway was part of Frazier’s initiative called #Hamiltix502. Through the initiative, the Frazier is planning to giveaway more Hamilton tickets to the public.
