Listen to the sweet sounds of the Louisville Orchestra while you ice skate!
Old Forester’s Paristown Hall along with the Louisville Orchestra is creating a first-of-its-kind event called “LO Over Ice” January 10th at 8:00 p.m.
The orchestra’s performance of “Gabriel Kahane at the LO” will take place inside Old Forester’s Paristown Hall Friday night. At the same time, outside over the community ice rink, a live simulcast of the concert will display on a giant projection screen.
“This is a huge part of the vision for the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Performing Arts, for the city’s cultural life,” Teddy Abrams, conductor of the Louisville Orchestra said. “This idea of activating a space that is a critical juncture here for many neighborhoods to come together, and activating it with art and music in a way that brings everyone to a unified place.”
The Paristown ice rink will remain open until January 12. The Louisville Orchestra will also take advantage of the projection technology to broadcast upcoming concerts to viewers in Paristown’s outdoor garden area.
