Good news for those who prefer sleigh rides over hay rides!

106.9 Play is bringing in the sounds of the holiday season early, now playing non-stop modern and classic Christmas and holiday songs from now through Christmas night.

The announcement was made by morning show hosts Jesse and MJ Monday.

“With 2020 being such a negative year in a lot of ways, we wanted to give the city of Louisville something positive,” WVEZ operations manager Cagle said. “As Louisville’s original Christmas Music Station we felt it was our duty to start the Christmas season early and give our listeners an early Christmas present. We aren’t rushing the season… we are rushing the end of 2020!”

Cagle said the switch hopes to spread holiday cheer to Kentuckiana residents when its needed the most.

The radio station plays adult contemporary music in its normal format.
