Louisville restaurant Harvest is having a week dedicated to tomatoes.

Next week, Aug. 13 to 17, will be Tomato Week at Harvest. This week will showcase the star of growing season with a four course tomato tasting menu.

The four course tasting menu will be for dinner only and cost $45. Tomatoes will be worked into each dish for the tasting which includes a starter, soup, main and dessert.

Taking a peek at the menu, created by Jeff Dailey, Executive Chef, does not disappoint when it comes to tomatoes being incorporated.

“The tomato sorbet on the olive oil cake is crisp and delicious – this dessert walks the line of savory and sweet,” Dailey told WAVE 3 News.

Not only will the week showcase tomatoes, but also wants to bring attention to the local farms that provide Harvest with the produce.

“We’ve seen people do tomato dinners before, but with the bounty we have coming in this week we knew that wouldn’t be enough,” Tim Quinlan, general manager, said. “This all came together last month with our team collaborating and it came together so organically with so much interest from our patrons already, you can bet on tomato week 2020 to be planned as soon as we wrap this one.”

Here is the menu, from Dailey:

Starter: Roasted tomato pie with house ricotta, garlic chips and parsley salad

Soup: Tomato watermelon gazpacho with noble goat feta, jalapeno and mint

Main: Tomato Nduja Ravioli paired with pomodoro sauce, fennel, charred corn relish and crispy kale

Dessert: Olive oil cake with a tomato sorbet, whipped goat cheese, strawberries and pine nuts
