Louisville sandwich shop closing its doors after 50 years

A downtown Louisville restaurant in business for 50 years announced it is closing its doors.

Another Place Sandwich Shop, located at 119 South 7th Street, posted on their Facebook page Tuesday that they will be closing at the end of the month.

“For 50 long years, this business was a project lovingly cared for by many family members and friends. It was a meeting place for people of all ages and backgrounds, a performance space for local musicians, actors, comedians, and artists,” the post reads.

The business, which opened back in 1971, thanked the support of the Goodwin family and the community for its many years in business. No reason was given for the closure.

Another Place will remain open until the end of February.
