Teachers can enjoy the Louisville Zoo for free teacher Tuesdays this July.
Kentucky teachers will receive free general admission on the following Tuesdays:
- July 9
- July 16
- July 23
Teachers can use this opportunity to explore the zoo while finding opportunities for student learning during the upcoming school year. Teachers can also go with their family and experience the zoo’s newly designed Exploration Guides.
The zoo also offers Next Generation Science Standards aligned curriculum, programs and outreaches that could be useful for teachers.
New this year, teachers can register for Educational Program Reviews. Each Tuesday will focus on a specific grade levels, allowing teachers to experience what their students will experience. Space is limited and reserved only for those teachers who meet grade-level requirements.
Teachers participating in the program preview sessions will be entered to win a behind the scene tour of the zoo (to be scheduled at a later date).

- Teachers only receive 1 free general admission ticket.
- Parking and additional friends or family admission is not included.
- All teachers must provide proof of their current teaching status. Please bring a school badge, pay stub, or other form of teacher identification to verify eligibility.
