The Louisville Zoo will soon welcome a new calf home.

The zoo’s African elephant, Mikki, entered the birthing window, according to the zoo on Twitter.

Staff are on 24-hour watch and are taking blood samples daily.

Sunday, her progesterone levels were high. Once her levels drop to baseline, it means that she will give birth soon.

Mikki is carrying a calf that is more than 200 pounds. She has been pregnant since October 2017.

The zoo provided an update on Mikki from its Twitter and used the hashtag #MikkiMonday.
