Louder than Life 2020 has expanded to a four-day event, and Metallica returns to headline the event Thursday, September 17.
The music festival, known as one leg of the Louisville Trifesta, will run from September 17-20 at Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center.
Metallica was previously announced for this year’s event, but the band canceled back in February to support singer James Hatfield on his road to recovery.
Festival promoter Danny Wimmer Presents said it will aid fans in the current financial climate by giving all current pass holders the 4th day free.
The promoter also announced an installment plan to purchase passes, where $1 will reserve a pass and layaway payments for passes purchased won’t start until March 3.
Louder than Life is one leg of Louisville’s Trifesta series of music festivals, starting with Hometown Rising Country Music & Bourbon Festival from September 12-13, Louder than Life from September 17-20 and Bourbon & Beyond from September 25-27.
