The Galt House Hotel has revealed the concept that’s moving into the former Rivue restaurant space on the 25th floor.
Swizzle is expected to open next spring, offering panoramic views of the Ohio River and downtown Louisville.
It’ll have a supper club-style menu with prime steaks, chops, sustainable seafood and local produce.
The name pays homage to a restaurant that operated on Chestnut Street in downtown Louisville in the 1940s and 50s.
That spot was named after a swizzle stick- a drink stirrer that could mix a cocktail with just a quick swirl.
Rivue closed earlier this month. The restaurant was known for its rotating dining room and spectacular views.
Swizzle is part of an $80 million transformation of The Galt House Hotel which includes guestroom makeovers.
Another new restaurant is set to open soon in the West Tower. Walker’s Exchange will offer a menu of American and French dishes, with a Kentucky twist.
