A restaurant in Louisville’s Clifton neighborhood has announced its closure.
North End Cafe has been in operation at 1722 Frankfort Ave. for the past 17 years.
In a release from the owners and staff announcing the restaurant’s closing, North End Cafe thanked its customers, employees and neighbors.
North End Cafe had been closed since March 16 after Gov. Andy Beshear’s order banning in-person dining at all restaurants in Kentucky as part of the fight against COVID-19.
The restaurant was sued by the U.S. Department of Labor in November 2018 over allegations that it owed back overtime to more than a dozen employees dating back to January 2016.
A second location on Bardstown Road near Douglass Blvd. closed in February 2019.
