A big crowd turned out Wednesday night in Phoenix Hill for the 46th Annual Taste of Louisville.
Guests sampled food and drink from about 50 local restaurants, distilleries and microbreweries.
Prizes were awarded in three categories: sweet, savory and swig.
And it was all for a good cause.
Proceeds from the event will be split among the Kentucky Restaurant Assocation, Crusade for Children, Gilda’s Club and Mulligan’s Living Kidney Donors.
“It’s the restaurant people giving back to the community,” Taste of Louisville co-chair Tom Enyeart said. “That’s what restaurant people are all about. (They’re) some of the most compassionate people around, in any industry.”
A new wrinkle this year allowed 100 people to purchase VIP tickets to taste samples before the general public.
