Two new culinary destinations are now open inside the West Tower of the Galt House Hotel.
Walker’s Exchange and Jockey Silks held their grand opening on Friday.
Walker’s Exchange, inspired by the Louisville of yesteryear, pays homage to an establishment of the same name that operated on the current site of 1834. Today’s Walker’s Exchange boasts a “Kentucky brasserie”-style menu of French and American dishes with a homegrown, locally sourced, Bluegrass State twist.
Adjacent to Walker’s Exchange is Jockey Silks, one of the original bars on Louisville’s famous Urban Bourbon Trail. The premier bourbon bar has been completely reimagined while still staying true to its roots. Featuring nearly 180 bourbons, plus 50 wine and champagne selections, beers on tap, and a well-edited bar bites menu, the iconic lounge now features a sleek, modern aesthetic with a nod to retro 40s and 50s style and décor.
These two culinary destinations are part of The Galt House Hotel’s $80 million renovations, which touch nearly every corner of the iconic property.
