Here’s your chance to live out a real life “Willy Wonka” style experience!
A nationwide treasure hunt is coming to Kentucky, with a grand prize offering keys to one of the Jelly Belly candy factory. The prize includes an all-expenses paid trip and classes at a “candy-making university.”
The founder of The Jelly Belly jelly beans, David Klein, created the event through Tricky Treasures. Wanting to have a little fun before his retirement, real-life candy man Klein and his partner traveled the United States hiding “gold tickets”.
The gold ticket necklaces are hidden in places with interesting stories Klein said in a release.
Plans for multiple treasure hunts to find the necklaces have been made for each state. Anyone who joins at least one of the treasure hunt gets a chance to join a nationwide search for “The Ultimate Treasure”.
“With The Gold Ticket Treasure hunt, our goal is to get people out and about with their families. Grandma and Grandpa can even join with the kids and grandkids,” David Klein, “The Candyman” said.
To participate in the event, a ticket for each state’s riddle can be purchased on “The Gold Ticket” website for $49.99. Only 1000 participants will be allowed for each treasure hunt.
Once the riddle is purchased, players will be placed in a private forum. The riddle will be revealed on each state’s starting date.
Kentucky’s riddle will be revealed October 16 at 11 a.m. The participant who finds the gold ticket necklace will submit its six-digit code and its exact location to win $5000.
