The average cost of a good mint julep is about $10-15… but there’s one in particular that carries a seriously high price tag.
Woodford Reserve unveiled their $1,000 version of the Derby’s signature cocktail.
The recipe uses ingredients only found in Kentucky, including ice made of limestone water.
It’s garnished with a rose petal from the Garland of Roses.
But, the cup is where the real money is at – high polished sterling silver, plated in 18-karat yellow gold.
Sales of the $1,000 mint julep will benefit the Jennifer Lawrence Arts Fund.
